Schmerr Schmee @ 11:42 PM

Merry Christmas! Being 1:43 in the morning on December 26th, I'd say everyone is still in the holiday spirit, so here we go.

Today was pretty cool, I guess. My sister, obviously ever-so-excited for Santa's presents under the tree was so kind as to wake me up around seven in the morning. Naturally, I shoved her away and continued to sleep for another good two hours. After I was forcefully dragged out of bed by a surprisingly strong ten year old, my mom was the next to recieve her complimentary wake-up call. She, of course, was stubborn about leaving her warm bed to venture into the hall, but we managed. After my dad had gotten the camera ready to film our pleasant morning faces, we made our way down the stairs, my sister speeding ten feet in front of me, so I heard a 'WHOA!' long before I saw the tree myself.

I didn't really want anything special for Christmas, so I just got random gifts that included picture frames (I'm re-doing my bedroom walls) an Eiffel Tower wall decor, and literally coal in my stocking. My mom has a strange sense of humor. :) My parents were exchanging worried glances back and forth until they finally asked us if either one of us had seen two missing presents. Both my sister and I shook our heads 'no' and continued with our EPIC CHRISTMAS ADVENTURE. I don't know. I'm tired. Later on, my dad was rummaging through the storage room searching for the 'lost treasures' Pirate noises included. I walked over to a bin, lifted off the cover, and voila, three hours of searching by my parents just got TOLD by my ten seconds. My dad and I took them upstairs, they were presents from my grandma, one for the both of us. We opened them, expecting savings bonds or something, until we discovered a Nintendo DS for my sister, and the fifth generation ipod nano for me! It was epic.

The rest of the day was spent on the computer and putting up stuff on my walls. I'm starting to think my room changes right along with me. I don't think it's looked the same for a year.

Around four or five, we visited my Aunt's house and most of my cousins and their 'significant others' were there. :) My cousins range from single, to in a relationship, to engaged, to married. But I love all of them, they're really awesome people. My cousin-in-law even sang along to four Fray songs with me, I think I'll be visiting him more often. Anyways, it was a fun Christmas dinner. I must've eaten at least twice my weight in food the past 2-3 days with all the special breakfasts, and dinners, etc. So I felt particularly sluggish afterwards, but it was cool. :)

I don't think anyone has even started reading this, let alone gotten this far. I could say something like, DR. SCOTT SMELLS GOOD, or JAKE JOHNSON'S HAIR COULD PROBABLY FIT INTO A PONYTAIL and no one would even care. But if you have, congradulations. Hm. On that note, Jake's hair probably could. *drifts into thoughts*

After my family got home, my dad asked if I wanted to go see the movie, 'Avatar' with him and one of my friends. I wasn't really interested in seeing it, but I agreed to go along just because I'd end up on facebook or twitter again if I didn't get out of the house. So I called up Kathryn, and we picked her up and headed on over to Eagan. I'm not even going to explain to you how epically intense that movie was. It's my second favorite movie of all-time. Since it's nearly impossible to beat out 'Fair Fight: The Fray documentary' It's just not even attemptable. Kathryn and I were LITERALLY out of breath after we got out of the movie theatre. I'm not much for sci-fi, gun-shooting kind of movies, but this one just TOLD every single movie that's competing against it in the box office. See it. See it now.

So, I think that's it. Happy holidays, and

Heeeeeyyy @ 8:24 PM

I'm bad at this whole blogging thing. I kind of forgot about it. Whoops.
Anyways.. I highly doubt ANYONE reads these, I mean, the only other person who has a blog that I know of is Nat, but who knows. Maybe there are really bored people on the internet who have happened to stumble across my fail attempt at a blog. Tehe.
So guess what? It's December. And not just any day in December, nope. It's CHRISTMAS WEEK. Unfortunately, our brilliant new superintendent decides to give us a snowday, but our Christmas, ahem, WINTER break has been immensely shortened so the first day of school we have off is.. Christmas Eve. Awesome, right? No.
I'm pretty excited for Christmas though, although I have no idea what I'm hoping to open that morning. I guess an ipod would be a great idea, however, my phone can hold music, and with my parents' hearing impairments, they'd rather have their left hands be chopped off than get me an ipod. So.. -shrugs- But this year, we're heading out to my aunts house on Christmas Day, which is awesome, since I can't remember a single Christmas I didn't spend at home. I hardly ever see my dad's side of the family, even though they live about fifteen minutes away. In fact, I see my mom's side more, and they're spread out from California to New York. Literally.
On another note, the beloved boys, The Fray if you hadn't guessed, are up to some major awesomeness right about now. For one, they release their Christmas EP album today, which I'm still waiting for from my confirmation email, ugh. But I got one song, "Noel" and it's the shiznit. Like, ferizz. Isaac just has that incredible voice that makes your heart want to EXPLODE in awesomeness. It reminds me of something my Frayfriend, Hannah sent to me in a facebook message, "MEETING ISAAC IN THE GROCERY STORE WOULD NOT BE GOOD FOR MY MENTAL STATE" I couldn't have said it better myself.
Oh, also, the first song on the self-titled album, "Syndicate" is turning into the third single from the album, which will be released (or re-released, since it's been out for practically a year..) on Jan 12th WITH A MUSIC VIDEO INCLUDED. Yes, majorly excited here. Not to mention the two GRAMMY noms they're up for, which they WILL win. And if they don't (which is hardly possible) then a. I will cry. b. They're still epic wins to me. :D
So. Yeah.
Merry Christmas everyone.
Or no one, since I'm almost sure NOBODY reads this. :)
And if you made it this far,
<(")

Hey, Dude. @ 4:23 AM

So The Fray performed in Hawaii last night. Epic? I think so. However, there is just one tiny thing wrong with that. It wasn't Minnesota. I want for them to come back ever so much, seeing them this summer was just surreal, knowing I was front-row, only a couple feet away from the great Isaac Slade himself. Not to mention, Joe, Ben, and Dave, too. :) However, everytime I check up on Ticketmaster, Minneapolis fails to show up on the list of tour dates. It's not cool. For example, after last night's show, there are currently seven lined up performances across the U.S. None of them happen to be here. This is a super short blog, but I just felt I had to vent for a tiny bit. I have school. :P I'll leave you this picture in rememberance of what could've been.. :P

British people can PWN @ 7:25 PM

Sup? So it's November third, just thought I'd point that out. And I have the slightest feeling that the months are going to go by slower and slower. Where did September go? I was just school supply shopping a little while ago. And October? Poof! But alas, I'm now counting down the days until good old December, where waiting at the bus stop is a medical hazard due to frostbite. The trimester is over in roughly a month, which means, YAY! New trimester! Nope. YAY! Finals? Yeah. High school has those. Yet another luxury taken away due to the transition from middle school to high school. Shall we list all the wonderful things we've lost? Sure! a) Sleeping in. Last year, it took me twenty minutes tops to get ready for school. I'd wake up around seven am every single weekday. Seven is after my bus picks me up now. b) Speaking of the bus, it's a whole 'nother street away this year. Whee. c) The teachers are okay this year. Okay. Just. Okay. I'm kind of missing last year where you could totally goof off with the teacher and they'd seek vengeance on you. Now the teachers just teach. Which is, again - Okay. It's their job, right? d) The drama ante's been upped. I must admit, I have probably 99% less drama than I did last year, yay! However, the drama that IS going on that I hear almost every day in the hallway is 'I'm preggo' or 'I got arrested last weekend for meth stuff' Last year, everyone put emphasis on the stupid middle school relationships that went on. Like 'Yerrrr my everrryything' and then they'd break up like, a week later. So although people only pay attention to the ACTUAL serious stuff, the serious stuff, is.. serious.

Anyhoo.. So the past few weeks, I've been talking to someone on Youtube from the UK. Her name is.. Well, I'm not in good memory at the moment, but I believe it's Rosalie? I'll check super quick! Hold on.. *pauses blogging* Rodella! Yeah. It's awesome, I wouldn't be surprised if she was my British self. She commented on my profile saying it was cool that I liked The Fray, and that she did too, and stuff like that. I replied, and we've just kind of been talking ever since. She's almost as obsessed with "The Four Men Of Awesome" as I am, she says 'rubbish' in every other paragraph, and she has a BRITISH ACCENT. Well, I've never heard her actual voice, but I kinda put two-and-two together. I received another message from her this morning and she states that "My mum and I have always wanted to visit America on holiday, my mum is fascinated with your culture. It's her favourite everything! She loves the American shows on the telly, and your music, especially The Fray! Not all the rubbish we have in the UK." I was like, :O, you are the farthest person from 'n00b' I've ever met.

Well, That's Enough For Now, off to bed. :D

P.S. Seven more days until The Fray's new album!!!

High School's Rough @ 3:09 PM

I should probably be working on my estimated 4 hours of homework I have due tomorrow, but I choose not to by procrastinating on less-than-educational activities. So freshman year wasn't exactly it was all it's cracked up to be. Yes, we're not middle school n00bs anymore, but being the freshmeat of the halls isn't exactly all that amazing as it once seemed. After being drunk off of adrenaline that first couple weeks, you slowly start to sink into the hangover. Seniors give you dirty glares in the hallway, your homework seems to accumulate faster than ever, and teachers aren't exactly as lenient as they once were those three treasured years in 6-8. Especially if you're an honors student. So I'll be getting back to Advanced Earth Science now, good bye facebook, and good bye social life.

I'm Alex / Tibby,

And I'm in love with The Fray.
